How tokens work

Buy tokens by card
Pay by card on a payment page we host. You see what you pay before you confirm.

Spend them at approved merchants
Pay on a checkout page we host at ucrypto.co. You receive a receipt for every purchase and a notice for every payment to a merchant.

Ask for a refund of what you have not spent
Unspent tokens are refundable at any time. Refunds go only to the card you paid with.
What tokens cannot do

No cash-out
Tokens cannot be withdrawn or turned back into cash. The only way money goes back is a refund of unspent tokens to the original card.

No sending
Tokens cannot be sent or transferred to another person or account.

No gifting
Tokens cannot be given as a gift. They stay in the account that bought them.
Getting unspent tokens back

Sign in to the wallet
Use the email address you bought the tokens with, and choose Refund.

Choose the purchase
Each purchase shows the tokens you have not spent. Unspent tokens are refundable at any time. Tokens you have spent belong to the merchant and cannot be refunded.

Review and confirm
The money goes back only to the card you paid with, and you receive a refund receipt. You can see where each request stands in the wallet.
If you are unhappy with something you bought, that is a complaint to the merchant under their terms; our customer terms explain how.
When something goes wrong

A problem with something you bought
A payment to a merchant is between you and the merchant, so ask the merchant first. If you cannot settle it with them, tell us.

Make a complaint
Our complaints route says how to complain, what we do with your complaint and where you can go if you are not satisfied. A complaint costs you nothing.

Help in the wallet
Once the wallet opens, its Help button lets you raise a complaint, gives you a reference and shows where it stands.
Do tokens expire?
No. Tokens never expire: a balance stays yours to spend until you spend it or ask for it back. You can ask for unspent tokens back at any time, to the card you paid with. Each market will have its own version of our customer terms, and checkout will record the version you accept.
Where to spend
Only at merchants we have approved, on a checkout page we host at ucrypto.co. You confirm each payment there and receive a receipt. Until the first market is live, no merchant takes tokens.

The token wallet is not open yet, and no opening date is set. When it opens, you will be able to sign in here to see your balance, receipts and refunds.
